ANALYST - climate change & carbon markets
Emily studied Environmental Science and Sustainability at Texas Christian University before earning her MSc in Forestry from the University of Illinois Carbondale, U.S. In her graduate studies, she evaluated regeneration and growth following silvicultural treatments in the central hardwood region of the United States. This research contributed to finding a solution to the ongoing regeneration problems of white oaks (Quercus alba), an important species both environmentally and economically.
Over her career, she has worked on the Forest Inventory and Analysis Program with the U.S. Forest Service, where her efforts contributed to a national dataset that is used to inform policymakers and partners on forest resources, health, and productivity. She has also worked in environmental consulting with a focus on plant and wetland surveys.
As an analyst at HAMERKOP, Emily contributes technical advice on a variety of Nature-based Solutions projects through their development.
