Shevanti Nefdt

Shevanti holds a MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London and a BSc in Biological Sciences from Durham University. Through combining her interest in biology and environmental policy, she has developed a holistic understanding of sustainability and climate change related topics. During her masters, she conducted research on advancing children’s environmental rights in air pollution policy in the UK and India.

Having lived in Zambia, Ethiopia, and Kenya, she has acquired a global perspective on environmental issues. She has experience working alongside experts at the World Agroforestry Centre Headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya to develop resilient food secure systems and vegetation maps for suitable crops. She has also contributed towards research involving the development of crops adapted to extreme climatic conditions in the face of climate change.

At HAMERKOP, Shevanti supports a range of activities including identifying & certifying carbon projects and conducting surveys & assessments. She was a main contributor to our Reforest Better Guide developed with Nature4Climate.
