Roanna Pang

Consultant - climate change & carbon markets

Roanna has several years of experience in the environmental sector, with a particular focus on Nature-based Solutions. She is motivated by programmes that prioritise ecological restoration while engaging local communities as active partners.

She has supported the development of REDD+, ARR, and IALM projects across West Africa, Southeast Asia, and Oceania. Her work includes geospatial analyses for nature-based solutions, combining remote sensing and machine learning to analyse land use and land cover change, map mangrove and peatland extents, assess agricultural practices, and evaluate flood risk associated with sea level rise. In her previous role, she researched methodologies that use remote sensing to estimate aboveground biomass in Southeast Asian forest systems.

She holds an MSc in Nature-based Climate Solutions and Biodiversity Conservation from the National University of Singapore.

At HAMERKOP, she supports projects through their development and certification, and provides technical advice and geospatial analyses to project teams.
