Donna is a Registered Professional Forester with a BSc in Forestry  from the University of the Philippines Los Baños and a Master in Development Management candidate at the Asian Institute of Management. She has over eight years of experience across the forestry, mining, and renewable energy sectors in the Philippines.

Donna specialises in Nature-based Solutions and in the design and evaluation of environmental mitigation and rehabilitation programmes. She is motivated by restoration that delivers measurable ecological outcomes while engaging local communities and Indigenous Peoples as active partners.

She has led large-scale community-based reforestation with carbon-market relevance, working with multiple barangays across mining-affected landscapes, alongside biodiversity management and mine rehabilitation planning for major operations. She has assessed sites for plantation forestry and biomass energy projects in the Philippines and Indonesia and prepared statutory compliance documents, giving her grounding in Philippine regulatory processes across DENR, the Mines and Geosciences Bureau, and NCIP.

At HAMERKOP, she supports carbon projects through formulation, feasibility, and certification, and monitors climate policy and market developments in Southeast Asia.
